'Abbey College provides a good quality of education and meets all the regulatory requirements for independent schools. The college successfully meets its aims. Strengths of the college include a good curriculum and good teaching and assessment. Provision for students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and the promotion of their welfare, health and safety are also good. The college has effective safeguarding procedures. 'Interactive studious lessons, students encouraged to question, problem solve and take charge of their own learning; great preparation for university. A reasonable amount of hand-holding and teaching to the test but not for the fainthearted or work-shy - this is intense stuff for those serious about study.
