InformationHistory of Abbey College London
Abbey College London was founded in 1985 in Notting Hill, London, to provide short, usually one term, A-level retake courses in mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry for students aiming to progress on to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary science at university.

By 2003 the College had begun to see an increase in students joining the College to study two-year A-level programmes and the first students from China and Vietnam studying such programmes were attending the College.
In 2005 the College moved from Notting Hill to its current premises 22 Grosvenor Gardens, Belgravia and by 2009 the vast majority of the College's students were studying two-year A-level programmes and were drawn from a dozen different countries.
Irrespective of their nationality, our students come to us attracted by the focus of the College on securing entry to degree courses at top UK universities that prepare students for the professions. Doctors, engineers, dentists, pharmacists, bankers, accountants, lawyers; such are the aspirations of the College's students together with studying management or economics at university as a tool for entering employment with blue chip companies across all industry sectors.
