Information
Guy Goldwater
DLD student
You may not have considered it as an option but Government & Politics is a brilliant choice of subject to study for A-Level at DLD. Daniel explains the importance of all the key political stories in the news, and provides great teaching notes which helped us learn the syllabus. Although there is quite a lot of reading to do, the course is well structured and we were well prepared for the exams.

Good subject combinations
A-level Government and Politics is a good choice for students considering a career in the professions, or those who simply want to understand how the world works. Politics goes well with students who are also studying A-level Economics. Politics does not just appeal to social science students, however and students focusing on sciences are encouraged to choose Government and Politics to give them a broader perspective on the world.
After Abbey
To date Abbey students who have studied politics have gone on to study economics at university.
