Pastoral Care
It is our belief that in addition to excellent, high quality teaching a student must, as and when required, receive effective support with other aspects of their life at the College. Consequently, the College's Vice Principal has no teaching responsibilities in order that he can monitor academic performance and welfare whilst also fostering students’ personal and social development. This is primarily achieved through formal and informal one-to-one meetings that aim to support a student whilst he or she is studying with us.
In addition to direct, regular contact with the Vice Principal, the pastoral programme at the College encompasses a range of other activities including advice concerning a student's choice of degree course and university, assistance with applications to university, preparation for university entrance interviews, ‘Open Mind' – the College's Critical Thinking Programme, extra-curricular activities and seminars and lectures from visiting speakers.
