The examination boards have informed all schools and colleges that no special consideration will be given to students who are unable to attend examinations this month due to the severe weather conditions.

This is of particular importance for students sitting legacy A-level A2 units as AQA and Edexcel will NOT be changing their minds about offering legacy units in summer 2010 i.e. January 2010 remains the last chance to sit legacy A-level A2 units with the Edexcel and AQA examination boards.

Given the above, if students think that the weather is likely to hinder their journey on the morning or afternoon of one of their legacy A-level unit examinations it is crucial that the students concerned leave home as early as possible to ensure that they get to the College in good time before the start of the examinations.

Morning exams start at 9.00 a.m. and afternoon exams start at 1.00 p.m. This means what it says i.e. start, so students must aim to get into college at least twenty minutes before the start time of the examinations.

The College will be open regardless of the weather and all examinations will be running.
